My journey began from a negative standpoint. I battled with my weight my entire life. I tried many different diets and I was a yo-yo dieter. When you’re in that type of cycle you start to believe that nothing works for you. I convinced myself that my body type was hereditary, that I couldn’t do anything about it and that it was who I was.


With that mindset, you create a negative environment for yourself. I hated myself...everything about me. I lacked self-esteem, confidence and self-respect. I allowed people to treat me however they wanted to which left me feeling worthless. I’d bottled it up and expressed it through anger and alcohol. As a result, I was very self-destructive. In 2016, I decided to take action after the doctor told me that I was pre-diabetic with high cholesterol and I was also done with feeling sorry for myself.


I was determined to change in that point of my life that I hired a licensed registered dietician, Alex Concepcion. He helped start my fitness journey and was there throughout my entire transformation. My lifestyle change was led by sacrifice, discipline, hard work, and self-aspirations. In doing so, I lost 50lbs! Not only did I become physically fit, I also became aware of how extremely depressed, anxious, unhappy, and insecure I had been throughout my life. Now, I’m living in a healthier environment. My mission is to help those how fitness helped me.
